Park-and-ride car parks (P+R)
The metropolis has 29 park-and-ride car parks strategically located along the tram and bus lines. Their total capacity is around 1,400 spaces. They let you park your vehicle for free close to a public transport line to quickly reach the town centre.
How it works:
- Spot the nearest P+R on the interactive map or the T2C app.
- Have a valid transport ticket on you (single ticket, subscription, etc.).
- Show your validated ticket at the exit (for barriered car parks).
Until September 2026: the barriers lift at the exit with no ticket required, so you can discover the service!
Where to find a cheap parking space in Clermont-Ferrand?

For visitors, the P+Rs are free and connected
It's the most affordable option for visiting the town centre: free parking in a P+R, and you take the tram or bus to reach your destination. Until September 2026, it's even easier: the barriers open automatically at the exit.

Places where it is very difficult to park in Clermont-Ferrand

Post-parking fixed fee (FPS)
Since the 2018 reform, non-payment or overstaying gives rise to an FPS of €30 (since 1 January 2023). This amount corresponds to the maximum duration allowed in each zone. To contest, follow the procedure for the mandatory preliminary administrative appeal (RAPO) indicated on the payment notice.
