Orléans, prefecture of the Loiret in the Centre-Val de Loire region, is a dynamic metropolis world-famous for its history linked to Joan of Arc, its Gothic cathedral and its Loire heritage. Capital of the region, it attracts many visitors and workers every year. To make parking easier, Orléans Métropole has put in place a very structured parking policy, with a dense network of 14 car parks, on-street tariff zones with differentiated objectives and a network of park-and-ride facilities. If you are a resident, covered car parks offer a permanent subscription (24/7) at £64 per month, a 40% reduction compared to the "general public" rate. For workers, subscription packages are also available.
Use park-and-ride facilities for long-distance trips
To reach the city centre by tram, the 12 P+R car parks are the most economical solution, especially the P+R Jules Verne which is free. Some P+Rs (such as Jules Verne) have free access.
Park in the orange zone for quick errands
The orange zone is designed for short-term parking (2h max). It offers 15 minutes of free parking once a day, then £0.50 per 15 min. Perfect for quick shopping.
For a full day, go for the "shopping" package
On the boulevards, a shopping package is offered at £8 for a full day (9am to 6pm), from Monday to Saturday.
Use the PayByPhone and EasyPark apps
These apps allow you to pay in real time, extend remotely and never pay for unused minutes. Available on Android and iOS.
Park at night or at weekends
Parking is free from 6pm to 9am, on Sundays and public holidays, and from Saturday 12pm to Monday 9am on the boulevards. Park in the orange zone after 6pm, or on the boulevards on Saturday afternoon, and you will not pay anything.
The city offers many opportunities for free parking.
15 minutes free in the orange zone
Since February 2024, all motorists benefit from 15 minutes of free parking, once a day, in orange zones. Remember to take a ticket at the pay station to activate this free period.
Free zones (blue zone and free parking)
Some areas outside the city centre are free. The blue zone (disc required) allows free parking for a limited time.
Daily free periods
Free park-and-ride facilities
The P+R Jules Verne is completely free with free access.
For electric vehicles
Owners of 100% electric vehicles can benefit from favourable parking conditions (duration to be checked on site).

Rates and conditions:
The strong attractiveness of certain areas creates constant pressure on parking.
The cathedral area and historic centre
Around the Sainte-Croix cathedral, the pedestrian streets and the shopping district, parking is highly contested, especially on Saturdays. The Cathédrale (limited capacity), Cheval Rouge and Hôtel de Ville car parks are alternatives, but they can fill up.
The Gare des Aubrais district
This major interchange (tram, bus, TER) attracts many travellers. The Gare des Aubrais – enclosure and structure car parks (rate at £0.20/15 min) are in great demand during peak hours on weekdays.
The boulevards (purple zone)
The Alexandre-Martin, Pierre-Ségelle, Aristide-Briand, Saint-Euverte, La Motte Sanguin, Jean-Jaurès and Rocheplatte boulevards are very busy on weekdays, especially with professionals and workers.
Residential areas near the centre
The neighbourhoods located in the green zone (4h max), but on the immediate outskirts of the centre, are under strong pressure from visitors and workers.
Given the demand, especially in the city centre and near activity hubs, finding a secure parking space available monthly can prove complex. Yespark makes life easier by connecting you directly to private car parks owned by individuals or professionals in Orléans. Prices range from £36 to £45 per month, around 30% cheaper than the traditional offer.
Registration is quick and with no commitment: in just a few minutes, your space is waiting for you. You also benefit from many advantages:
