Montrouge, a town in the Hauts-de-Seine department in the Île-de-France region, is a residential and lively town at the gates of Paris, accessible via metro line 4 (Mairie de Montrouge and Barbara stations). With its many local shops and proximity to the capital, it attracts many visitors and workers every day. To facilitate parking and improve vehicle turnover, the municipality has set up a parking plan with two pricing zones (green and red) and a selection of underground public car parks. Yespark takes stock for you.
The town of Montrouge has 12 underground public car parks representing 1,477 spaces (managed by the INDIGO company), on top of 3,187 on-street spaces. In the town centre, the most central car parks are located on Place Jean Jaurès, Rue Gabriel Péri and Rue Coustou.

Here are our tips for parking smart without breaking the bank in Montrouge.
Residents: register your plate for free and enjoy reduced rates
Any Montrouge resident can benefit from two resident rights per tax household after free registration with INDIGO. Once registered, you access reduced hourly rates up to 2 times cheaper than a visitor (valid for both the green and red zones).
Opt for the annual subscription in the green zone at €210
For residents who park regularly, the annual subscription in the green zone is unbeatable: €210 per year, i.e. less than €0.67 per day. It is possible to pay in 4 instalments with no fees (€52.50 per quarter). Once subscribed, you can park without limit in the green zone without having to pay at the meter.
Use mobile apps for the fairest payment
The INDIGO Neo, PayByPhone and Flowbird apps let you pay in real time, extend remotely and never pay for unused minutes.
Park in the green zone for long stays
The green zone allows long-term parking (up to 10 hours), with a reduced hourly rate for residents (from €0.50 for 30 minutes). This is the ideal zone if you need to leave your car for several hours.
The town offers several free parking opportunities for visitors and residents.
20 free minutes per day in the red zone
For all vehicles (visitors and residents alike), you benefit from 20 free minutes per day in the red zone. Ideal for quick errands or a drop-off. Remember to take a ticket from the meter.
Free parking granted by municipal decree
Resident parking may be declared free by municipal decree (even without a subscription). In the event of such a decree, current subscriptions are extended by the number of free days, up to a limit of 10 days.
Sundays and bank holidays
On-street parking is free on Sundays and bank holidays (no payment required on those days).
At night and during off-peak hours
Parking is free outside paid hours, i.e. before 9am and after 7pm.
The strong attractiveness of certain areas creates constant pressure on parking.
Around place Jean Jaurès, the town hall and the town-centre shops, the red zone (parking limited to 2 hours) is in high demand, especially on Saturdays. The Mairie de Montrouge car park is an alternative, but it can fill up at peak times.
With the influx of travellers heading to Paris, the streets around the Mairie de Montrouge metro station are very busy during the week. The Gabriel Péri car park is ideally located, but demand there is high.
This shopping street attracts many visitors. Parking there is regulated in the red zone (2 hours maximum) and spaces are highly contested, especially on Saturday mornings.
Streets located on the edge of the capital (portes de Montrouge, de Vanves) are very popular with motorists looking to avoid Paris's paid parking.
Given the demand, especially near the metro, the town centre and dense residential areas, finding a secure parking space available on a monthly basis can prove complex. Yespark makes life easier by connecting you directly to private car parks owned by individuals or professionals in Montrouge and its surroundings.
Registration is quick and without commitment: in a few minutes, your space is waiting for you. You also enjoy many benefits:
The town has organised its on-street parking with two distinct zones. Parking is paid from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm, except on Sundays and bank holidays. In total, Montrouge has 3,187 on-street parking spaces.
