Where to find a parking space in Houilles?

The paid parking times are clearly defined from 9 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm, excluding Sundays and public holidays.

 

The commune of Houilles has set up a free parking system in certain areas. Parking on only one side of the road, alternating. Between the 1st and the 15th of each month, park on the odd-numbered side. The rest of the time, park on the even-numbered side.

 

Free parking is also available in the blue zone. On site, parking is limited. Indeed, it is only possible to park there Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm. Sundays, public holidays and the month of August are exempt from these rules.

Finally, there are two paid parking zones, the red zone and the yellow zone. The red zone favours short-stay parking. It costs €25 for three hours. In the yellow zone, you can park longer, 7h45 at most, for €19. Payments are to be made from the pay-and-display machines provided for this purpose. What about residents? Locals living in the blue zone or paid zone can request a specific card exempting them from these limitations. Resident sticker requests are to be made to the municipal police.

 

It's often very tricky to park in the town centre. Houilles is no exception. Locally, parking is free but limited to 1h30 at certain times. It is therefore a relatively tricky spot, particularly for professionals wanting to park all day.

 

The rue du Réveil-matin leads to Carrières. This street is fairly busy and is in the blue zone. The heavy traffic combined with the fact that you can't park for medium or long periods therefore doesn't help.

 

The Houilles station is one of the busiest in Île-de-France with 24,000 passengers per day. Traffic is constant, and the station car park is inconvenient. It's therefore better to opt for an alternative solution, especially since the district is caught between red zone and yellow zone.
