Massy, a commune in Essonne in the Île-de-France region, is a dynamic town located at the heart of the Paris-Saclay tech hub. A true transport hub with its RER and TGV stations, it draws many workers, students and visitors. The town redesigned its parking plan in 2026 to better organise public space. Yespark gives you the lowdown.
Massy has a varied offering, with many free spaces and several covered car parks near the interchange hubs.
Over 80% of parking spaces in Massy are free parking. When parking in these areas, simply follow the Highway Code (no parking on pavements, zebra crossings, in front of vehicle exits, etc.) and avoid improper parking beyond 7 days.
For extra security or long-stay parking, the town has several covered car parks, mainly around the Massy-Palaiseau station.
Here are some tips for parking in Massy without breaking the bank.
Resident in the yellow zone, go for the subscription
If you live within the yellow zone (the paid area), sign up for the resident subscription. For €20 per month (or €190 a year), you can park freely on-street in this area. The request is made online on the town's portal or at the Maison du stationnement.
Take advantage of the 30 free minutes twice a day
In the yellow zone, every driver is entitled to 30 free minutes in the morning AND 30 minutes in the afternoon. Remember to grab a ticket at the pay-and-display machine or use a mobile app to activate this free period.
Use mobile apps
To pay in real time and avoid paying for unused minutes, use the dedicated apps: Flowbird or PayByPhone.
Park in the purple or green zones
These very wide zones are free. Simply observe the 3-hour maximum on weekdays.
For very long-stay parking, opt for a covered car park
If you're going on a trip or need to leave your car for several days, compare the rates of the covered car parks. For example, the Parc Relais Vilmorin car park is very close to the stations and may be safer than extended on-street parking.
The majority of parking in Massy is free. The town made this choice for over 80% of its spaces. Here's where you can park without paying.
Purple and green zones
Free parking but limited to 3h from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. These zones are very extensive, notably in residential neighbourhoods such as Vilmorin-Graviers, Champarts or Opéra.
Blue zone
Free parking but limited to 1h30, from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm. On Sundays, the blue zone also applies in the town centre. The use of a European parking disc is mandatory to show your time of arrival.
Free parking for healthcare professionals and PMR
If you are a healthcare professional (nurse, doctor, physiotherapist, etc.) visiting the homes of Massy patients, you benefit from total free parking in the paid zones. This free parking also applies to holders of a Mobility Inclusion Card for parking (CMI-S).
August
Throughout August, paid parking is suspended. The red and yellow zones therefore also become free for everyone.
The strong appeal of certain areas, notably transport hubs and business districts, creates constant pressure on parking.
The Vilmorin neighbourhood (often referred to as Vilmorin-Graviers) is one of the most strategic areas in Massy due to its immediate proximity to the major interchange hub of the stations (TGV, RER B and C). This appeal has a price: parking difficulties are recurring, to the point that the local authority had to regulate public space.
Around the station, the yellow zone (paid) is in place precisely to encourage turnover and limit long-stay parking. On-street spaces are highly sought after by travellers, and the Parc Relais Vilmorin car park can fill up quickly at peak times.
This shopping hub attracts many visitors. Parking here is regulated (paid zone) to ensure smooth access. On Saturdays, it can be hard to find a space quickly.
Close to the station and the shopping centre, this business district is in high demand during the week from professionals.
The Massy-Opéra 1 area, also known as the Blanchette neighbourhood, faces constant traffic pressure. A real attraction hub with the Opéra concert hall, the Pathé cinema, shops and the Paul Baillart cultural centre, it draws a heavy flow of visitors, especially in the evenings and at weekends.
Faced with demand, notably near the station, business districts and dense neighbourhoods, finding a monthly space can be a challenge. Yespark makes life simpler by connecting you directly to the private car parks available in Massy and the neighbouring communes.
Whether you're looking for a solution near the TGV station, your workplace or in a residential neighbourhood, Yespark lets you access private car parks with no commitment.
Signing up is quick and no commitment: in just a few minutes, your space is waiting for you. You also benefit from many advantages:
