A commune nestled in the heart of Seine-Saint-Denis, Rosny-sous-Bois is a small town, albeit relatively densely populated. All in all, it has a population density estimated at 7,791 inhabitants per square kilometre. A suburban town some fifteen kilometres from Paris, Rosny-sous-Bois is also a reasonable distance from Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports. A particular location that makes the commune a fairly important transit hub. This raises the question of managing all this traffic and, of course, the place given to the car.

Getting around Rosny-sous-Bois

Thanks to its proximity to the capital, the town of Rosny-sous-Bois is served by several RER E stops. The line stops at the municipal station as well as at Rosny Bois-Perrier station. In time, the town is set to host a stop on metro line 11, at the same address. However, we'll have to wait until around 2023 for this project to come to fruition.

There is only one car park in Rosny-sous-Bois, that of the town centre. It is managed by the Indigo company. The entrance is at 20 rue Claude Pernès. It can accommodate 302 drivers. The monthly subscription to this car park costs €50 for residents and €60 for non-Rosnéens. Access is guaranteed 24 hours a day.
A town split into 3 parking zones
Elsewhere, parking is paid, depending on the boundaries set in the heart of the town. There are three zones:
- The red zone, where parking is limited to just 2h15. The first hour is €1, the second is €4, and the price for 2h15 rises to €35.
- The orange zone, where parking is limited to 4h15. The rate starts at €1 per hour for 4 hours. The 4h15, for their part, cost €35 too.
- The green zone, for parking of 8h15 maximum. Expect €0.50 for 1 hour, €4 for 8 hours and €35 beyond.
Parking arrangements for residents
Payments are made very simply, directly via pay-and-display machine or from a dedicated parking app. For residents, it is recommended to opt for the resident subscription option. Indeed, the sticker costs €240 a year. It is then possible to park in peace, freely, anywhere in town except in the red zone.
Be careful, however, not to overstep the rules in force. In the event of exceeding the allowed time, an FPS (post-parking charge) may be issued. This fine will cost you €35. Important point to remember: parking is free on Sundays and public holidays.

Parking Mederic - rue Claude Pernès - Médiathèque Louis Aragon - rue du Maréchal Maunoury
The rue de la Prévoyance is just a few metres from Rosny-sous-Bois RER station. It is adjacent to Avenue de la République, a relatively busy road. Just next to it are the town hall and the Méderic bus stop. A narrow, one-way street alongside a major transport route. It's best to opt for more distant, less busy streets.
Parking Renardière
Rue de la Renardière is a street parallel to boulevard de la Boissière. These two streets connect to national road 302 which reaches Montreuil or the A36. A proximity to major thoroughfares that doesn't really encourage medium or long-stay parking.
Parking rue Maryse Bastié - Rosny Bois Perrier station - rue Jacques Offenbach
Rue Maryse Bastié is in a lively and busy neighbourhood. Between pharmacies, sports clubs and the presence a few metres away of the Armand Girodit stadium, this small street on its own symbolises the high population density in Rosny. Finally, this whole small area is just a few minutes' walk from Rosny-Bois-Perrier station and the Domus shopping centre.
